But while it's accurate, the touchpad is weird. It combines the right and left buttons into the touch sensor, like the usual clickpad, but the depth of each click is lower and has a light actuating force, making for an odd clicking experience. The entire touch sensor can be clicked with a tap, but it's clearly meant to be pressed more deeply. While your personal preference may differ, I didn't like it at all. Features The ThinkPad T440s is made to get things done, and it's built with the ports and connections to get things done. On the right-hand of the laptop you'll find an USB 3.0 port, a LAN port for Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card slot (SD, SDHC, SDXC), and VGA output for connecting to older monitors and projectors. On the left are two more USB 3.0 ports (including one with charging capability), a miniDisplayPort, and a slot for an optional SmartCard reader.

If you need a durable and comfortable but still stylish laptop, look no further. Awesome, I repeat; Awesome laptop.First, here's the cheapest place I've found to buy it so far: g.brainofjt.com/CheapT440sIf you use the above link (less spaces) to reach Lenovo's website, you'll potentially save hundreds of dollars compared to Amazon or another online vendor. Lenovo is good at keeping their prices below the prices of their distributors, so watch out for that.Final Thoughts:Overall, this thing has spectacular quality. The graphics card is the only thing keeping this laptop from being called a gaming laptop. It will perform under anything you throw at it, just don't expect to play Crysis 3 on HD settings anytime soon.If you're buying this laptop as an upgrade to an old one, you will absolutely love it. Trust me, it's worth the purchase.Remember, use the link mentioned in this review to enter the Official Lenovo website and get their manufacturer eCoupons automatically applied. It should help you out a ton.

Dell optiplex 745 sff. Now, just a few months after I bought this, there are drives out there with 32 MB buffers.

We review the Lenovo ThinkPad T440s, an ultrabook with a classic look - Page 4.

We can see clear deviations for the grayscale (average DeltaE 11.88) and colors (ColorChecker, average DeltaE 10.9) ex-works. The color temperature is too low; the result is a visible blue cast. However, a calibration of the display (XRite i1 Pro 2) improved the situation significantly: The grayscale deviation dropped to almost ideal 1.83 (average DeltaE), and still good 3.26 for the colors (ColorChecker, DeltaE). Subjectively, the overall picture looked much better and more accurate after the calibration. The display is also not particularly good in regard to the viewing angle stability.

Still, the trackpad itself is one of the best touchpads you can currently find on a Windows device. It boasts a surface smooth as silk, clearly perceptible travel with well-defined resistance, good input execution and precision.

The T440s is pretty mediocre in everything except the keyboard. I have the version with the 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM and all the other bells and whistles, and it doesn't really outperform my UX32 from last year. The sound quality, both speakers and, importantly, headphones (so they must've used quite a cheap audio chip), the boot time, even the clicker for trackpoint on the trackpad (isn't particularly responsive). Everything says 'this is the default high-end business laptop that the business consumer segment will buy anyway, so we can cut corners and improve margins as long as we leave the keyboard comfortable'. In contrast they really poured effort into the X1 carbon, pushing its performance and build quality way up as they try to compete in the top-end consumer segment.
